30aKidz is a small-group enrichment program on Florida's 30A coast for teens ages 12 to 18. Teens take small-group, 4-week courses in critical thinking, faith, and character. Everything we run is built to teach young people how to think, not just what to memorize.

What makes this different.
Why we make them do the work
Teens learn by doing the thing, not hearing about it. They argue from evidence and have to show their reasoning. They defend a hard call out loud while the room pushes back. They read closely and say what they think it means. Every course ends with a final session where a teen has to hold a position.
Why 'how to think' matters
Memorization and test prep won't prepare young people for a world where information is abundant and answers are easy. What's rare is clear, independent thinking: the ability to question, reason, and decide.
Why small groups
Real skills get built in conversation and practice, not lectures. Teen courses run in small groups so every teen gets heard, challenged, and coached.
Why not just school or a co-op
This isn't a school or a casual club. It's focused, premium enrichment for families who want more depth than a one-off activity and more future-focus than typical tutoring.

Meet your teacher
Hi, I'm Jerin.
I taught computer science at Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City for more than twenty years. I also spent more than ten years in youth ministry as a pastor and director, working alongside junior high and high school students.
I loved both. There's nothing like watching a college student finally get it. And there's nothing like a teenager realizing that an adult actually wants to hear what they think. 30aKidz grew out of both of those.
I'm a family man first, and I teach every course myself. My hope for your teen is simple: that they leave each week a little more confident in how they think, and a little more sure of who they are.
